FOR PARENTS

Everything you need, all in one place

Choosing the right childcare for your child is an important decision. At Anchorpoint, we want parents to feel informed, supported and confident that their children are in a safe, welcoming and caring environment.

Our parents page brings together the key information you need, from sessions and fees to registration, activities, food, collection arrangements and the support we provide.

Whether you are considering Anchorpoint for the first time or your child already attends, you can find helpful information here to make things simple and straightforward.

Your child’s wellbeing matters to us, and we are always here to support you and your family.

SECURE COLLECTION

Only authorised adults may collect children.

Parents and carers must tell the club about changes to collection arrangements.

Visitors are required to sign in and are supervised while on the premises.

ALLERGIES AND DIETARY NEEDS

We take allergies and dietary requirements seriously.

Parents and carers should provide full information about allergies, intolerances and medical dietary requirements during registration.

Allergens are recorded on children's profiles and staff follow procedures designed to reduce cross contamination.

We also recognise cultural and religious dietary requirements, with vegetarian options available and food provision designed to respect children's individual needs.

DIFFERENT IS BRILLIANT

At Anchorpoint, inclusion is not something we simply write down.

It is something we want children to experience every time they walk through the door.

We welcome children from different backgrounds, cultures, religions, abilities and family circumstances.

We believe every child should have access to the same opportunities to play, learn, participate and grow.

Where children have additional needs, we will work with parents, schools and professionals where appropriate to understand their needs and make reasonable adjustments wherever possible.

EVERY FAMILY MATTERS

We respect cultural, religious and linguistic differences.

We aim to make communication accessible.

We listen.

We adapt.

We work together.

Because every family is different and every child deserves to feel that they belong.

WE SUPPORT FAMILIES

Parents and carers know their children better than anyone.

That is why we want to work with you rather than simply provide a service to you.

We encourage open communication and want parents to feel comfortable speaking to us about their child's needs, interests, strengths or challenges.

Our communication can include daily conversations, phone calls, messages, notices, meetings and updates about activities and events.

FUN HAS TO BE SAFE FUN

We take safeguarding seriously.

Anchorpoint's safeguarding policy states that every child has the right to feel safe, valued and respected and that safeguarding is everyone's responsibility.

Our approach includes safer recruitment, staff training, appropriate supervision, safeguarding procedures, risk assessments and clear processes for reporting concerns.

Staff receive safeguarding and child protection training alongside paediatric first aid, food hygiene, health and safety, behaviour management and equality training.
